arlen, i like that for a story. is your grandma still alive?
there. it is official. everyone have your ideas. we need to decide what we are going to do, and who is going to be involved by the end of this meeting.
Let's make a narrative about a night time grocery stock boy who spends the day in nursing homes bringing joy to old people.
but the entire thing has to be filmed in an elevator.
haha just kidding about the elevator...
but i really want to do something with old people..they are cute. or grouchy
but still awesome
Although, i guess i could just send jordan an email to find out the meeting time....
does anyone even check the blog?
i think that is worth pursuing, at least in discussion. i think it is a clear example of a film project that would merit a lot of discussion in regards to the ethics of film. i would not be comfortable doing this, for example, unless we were able to offer help to our homeless subject. in fact, i think it would be hard to get past the artifice of the relationship. what do other people think?
an idea i had:
an old lady (in a nursing home) is visited by a young man whose grandmother is in the same home. she falls in love with him as he treats her very well - taking her out to ice cream and such. but he is suave and generally uninterested in anything but making himself look good to his prospective girlfriend. the old lady dies, and the man confronts his guilt just as he has his opportunity to kiss his girlfriend goodnight. aaaaand clockwipe.
when is our next meeting? maybe we could post that here, and deliberate about schedule in general.
team - this is how we can keep connected and organized... and be funny. maybe we should compile a list of all our email addresses and phone numbers... so, email me them at crv2. then ill post them here.
