Casting Call Information

Casting Call

Calvin College students collaborate on the Senior Project to produce an original, professional short film to be shown at festivals. The script is the exploration of two brothers fractured relationship, and how they begin to reconcile through the death of their beloved mother. No previous acting experience is required.

DeVos Communications Building at Calvin College, Room XXXXXXXXXXXX

Thursday March 16, 6 – 10pm
Friday March 17, 4 – 8pm





The Characters

Jeremy – the financial provider for Mozzelle, a successful businessman. He shows his love by making sure his family is provided for.

Martin – a high school teacher and loving father, son, and husband. He has lived in Jeremy’s shadow for most of his life. He disagrees with his mother being in a home as he spends the most time with Mozzelle.

Mozzelle – has realized the effectiveness of silence as a communication tool. She is the center of family life, she brings happiness to the whole family.

Natalie – the wife of Martin, a caring and quite woman.

April – the wife of Jeremy, a wonderful mother and loving wife.

Cassie – the daughter of Jeremy and April, she accompanies them to visit Mozzelle and mediates the bad news of her condition from the brothers to their wives.

J.T – the son of Jeremy. He is quiet and reserved, but attentive to the situation

Adam – the son of Martin, he helps Martin beat Jeremy and J.T. in their annual Thanksgiving basketball tournament.

But seriously now, I think you need to have the rough ages of the characters. This makes me really excited. Good work.
